Rules for Voting
1. The chair of the inspection will be Dr. Peng Ang. The other two inspectors will be Patrick Yam and Wai San Loke.
2. Each Member may vote in person at the Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, or in advance (by mail or facsimile). A Member may only vote if, as of the record date (November 26, 2007), such Member is in good standing and has paid all membership fees that are owed prior to or on such date in full. Members who choose to vote by proxy, or by proxy and written ballot in advance of the AGM, must submit such executed documents by email to:sabausa@aol.com, or facsimile (415-252-1160) or by US mail or air courier to SABA, 3 Twin Dolphin Drive, Suite 150, Redwood City, CA 94065. We regret that ballots or proxies received by SABA later than 12:00noon Monday, December 10, 2007 will be invalid.
3. Each Member, either individual or representative of a corporate member, shall have one (1) vote per vacant board seat, i.e. each Individual Member may cast votes for up to five (5) Director nominees. An Individual Member who is also a designated representative of a Corporate Member may not vote twice.
4. Any ballot or proxy with more than five (5) votes shall be void and none of the votes thereon shall be counted.
5. The five (5) nominees receiving the highest number of votes shall be elected to the Board of Directors.
6. A quorum at the AGM shall consist of at least 20% of the membership entitled to vote as of the record date, November 26, 2007, including Members represented by proxy and Members attending the AGM in person.

Tom Savage

Tom Savage is a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he practices corporate and securities law. He has extensive experience in the representation of public and private technology companies and their investors. Tom has worked with numerous companies from their start-up through their initial public offering and beyond. In addition to providing general corporate and securities law advice (including compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act), he has assisted such companies in a wide range of equity, debt, and merger and acquisition transactions.
Tom plays an active role in Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati's Asia practice, working with both U.S. companies conducting business and raising funds in Asia and Asian companies conducting business and raising funds in the United States.
Before rejoining the firm in 2005, Tom was counsel in the capital markets practice of Shearman & Sterling LLP in Menlo Park, California.

Mission Statement
I am honored to have been nominated for election to the SABA board of directors. I believe that SABA can plan an important role in the education of its members and in the promotion of trans-Pacific business. I hope to utilize my experience working with companies with operations in Asia and in Silicon Valley to help accomplish these objectives.
Jayson Goh
Regional Director, Western US
Singapore EDB
Jayson is currently the Regional Director, Western US of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). EDB is the lead government agency responsible for planning and executing economic strategies to enhance Singapore's position as a global hub for business and investment. It is the one-stop agency that facilitates and supports local and foreign investors in both the manufacturing and services sectors as they seek more value-creating operations, higher sustainable returns and new business opportunities.
Jayson leads the regional team located in both the EDB San Francisco and Los Angeles office. He has been with EDB since 1999 and has held various appointments in both Singapore and the US, including a stint in the Ministry of Law. Prior to this appointment, Jayson was Center Director, San Francisco, responsible for promoting the bio-medical and petrochemical sectors in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest.
Jayson graduated with a MS in Industrial Engineering from University of Michigan and holds a Bachelor Degree (First Class Honors) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine.
Mission Statement
SABA has been playing an important role in galvanizing both the Singaporean community and US businesses in Silicon Valley. The Asian network that the Singaporean community offers will be increasingly important as US businesses continue to tap on the Asian market for growth. In my role as a SABA director, I hope to do more for the local community in the Bay Area.

As Founding Director of Far East Computers in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia he conceived and implemented winning strategies in the Far East for Oracle, Sybase, Storage Technologies and other US, Australian and Italian Organisations. His team harnessed, Singapore’s unique assets with India’s brilliant Intellectual Capital through HCL of India. They created and implemented , in Singapore, at the start of the 80’s, what is accepted globally today as “Outsourcing and Offshoring” . Bukit Merah Central , Singapore, is where it all started in 1981.
Peter was President of HCL Corporation - Advanced Technology Group in US.

Currently, Advisor to The Office of Chairman and CEO , Headstrong Inc- Advisor to the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC) for its IT Summit in California.. Joachim Ng
Country Director
IDA Singapore
As the US Country Director for Infocomms Development Authority of Singapore, Joachim Ng is responsible for cultivation of strategic relationships with US government, multi-national corporations, industry associations and entrepreneurs. The IDA US office facilitates investments, projects and technology transfer between US and Singapore.
Prior to joining IDA, Joachim spent 5 years with the Singapore Economic Development Board. From 2002 to 2005, Joachim was assigned to serve as Center Director of the San Francisco office where he was responsible for growing investments to Singapore from the IT, media and digital entertainment industries. Major successes include facilitating Lucasfilm Ltd setup of their 1st overseas animation studio in Singapore.
Joachim began his career as a manufacturing engineer with Hewlett Packard’s Inkjet Printer Supplies business in Singapore. He was later assigned to an inkjet technology development team where he spent 2 years working on developing new ways to create microscopic ink nozzles. Joachim holds a US patent for his work on inkjet process technology.
Joachim is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where he earned both his bachelors and masters degrees in Industrial and Systems Engineering.

The last 2 years has seen SABA making significant gains as the business association and platform to bridge business professionals between Silicon Valley and Singapore. I am honored to be nominated to the SABA board to continue working towards bringing SABA to greater prominence within the business community in both countries.
Maverick Wong
Vice President
GIC Special Investments
Maverick is currently a Vice President with GIC Special Investments, the private equity arm of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC). Maverick oversees a portfolio of private equity fund and direct investments in North America, and is actively involved in pursuing new investment opportunities that fit the firm’s mandate.
Prior to his re-joining GIC, he was a Principal with the venture capital firm, Korea Technology Investment Corporation (KTIC), based in the Silicon Valley. Headquartered in Seoul, KTIC was a pioneer of the venture capital industry in Korea. It has assets under management of over US$300 million, and is a publicly traded company in KOSDAQ.
Previous to KTIC, Maverick was an Assistant Vice President with GIC Special Investments. During his seven years with GIC, Maverick invested over US$1.3 billion in venture capital and buyout investment deals. Direct investments included companies such as IPWireless, DexMedia, Fiat Avio and MCI Worldcom. Maverick also spent two years in Asia with GIC, where he covered several direct investment deals in China and South East Asia.
Maverick graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He also received a Master of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

I am honored to be invited by SABA’s Board of Directors to stand for election and be part of this dynamic group. SABA is an excellent platform to facilitate the transfer of ideas and build business relationships between Asia, particularly Singapore, and North America. I look forward to enhance and further expand SABA’s role in the business community.
